    Default Question about pouring

    Hey there guys and gals.
I'm back for another year of Crappie fishing Probably mostly in the lake Decatur/Shelbyville area.

Here is the thing though, I have some (at least I think) decent ideas to try out, and I would like to get some more information on pouring soft plastics. I would eventually like to branch out and make my own company, but you have to crawl before you walk and jump before you land right? Anyways.... lol

I am looking for an affordable and decent plastic.... what should I go with? Plastisol or something else? That is the main thing... are there any dealers within an hour or so drive from decatur that sells plastics for pouring? The S&H of online products are KILLER... If there aren't any dealers in central IL., then where can I get a good deal. (I'm sure plastic loss will be a factor at first, so I am going to need to play around to find the best methods)

I am starting not only as a business venture (to get back into the work force), but as a way to promote the sport, and give back to my favorite pastime. Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be GREATLY appreciated.

I posted this in the Illinois section first, because this is where I was born and raised, and my company will have its roots here. Any and all help will be noted!! Possibly even a freebie or two when I get things going

I am a retired veteran, so I can pour (pun intended :P) a lot of time into starting my business, even if I start out slow, that is fine with me... What could be better then starting something that keeps me on the water, puts a tank of gas in my wallet, and a smile on the face of the person using my product? lol

    Please post back

    Thanks, Wit

First of all......sounds good and good luck! Like the promoting the sport idea. We need more of that. You may, however have more luck on the main forum in the "Jig Tying/Lure Making" forum. I think it is good to get ideas from both but you have more "specialized" opinions and ideas there. Keep us posted on your progress!
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
