    Default Ready to do Battle..!

Well I got all of spider rig rods ready to go. I ended up finding a good deal from grizzly jig on the 14' hi-tech telescopic combo, $19.99 a piece. I have no idea if these rods will hold up or if they will be junk after the first season of using them...? However, when you have to buy a bunch of gear at once, i couldnt exactly afford $50-$75 dollar rods. I have the rod holders installed on the boat, in hopes of acquiring some spider rigging skills on Rend Lake for some deep water slabs, Sunday and Monday... I want to sharpen these skills for a possible Mississippi big 3 trip in early March.

I hope i can post a few pics later of some success, i currently have a three-way swivel system rigged up for a minnow to one side and a bell sinker and mo glo electric chicken jig on the bottom. Anyone know what baitshop has minnows right now around Rend?

    Take care guys
    Dave
