    Default Clinton today

Greg and I hit Clinton this morning. Blacknose were on fire! Kept 20 for the grease and threw back easily that many more. Biggest fish were 2 14" Greg has below. Multiple 12's and the rest 11's. All caught on black/chartruese. Jig under cork caught 90% of our fish. We fished area east of marina but west of mascoutin. These blacknose are gonna be some hawgs next year! Unimpressive Youtube video to follow.

It sure was fun today. I have a new addiction to cork fishing 1 ft deep. The black nose sure slam that cork and off they go sideways like a white bass. The two I am holding are just under fourteen and we had atleast 6 when we were couting that were 12.5 plus. We put those fish back in at the marina for a youngster to catch off the docks. Most fish we caught were over 10.5 with only a handful of dink 8s. I don't know what happened but we never used to catch that many big fish at Clinton. You might catch the occassional 12+ inch fish but maybe only 1 or 2 a trip. The baitfish are thick though and you can ask Luke but the bellies on these fish are rediculous. Never had a white crappie all day which is a little weird. I will have to send the biologist Mike Garthaus an email and tell him the progress of clinton. Look out Sangchris You might see a legitimate 8lb stringer for 7 fish coming up! LOL

    Todays tactics:
blk/chartruese bobby garland and midsouth glows
    pencil spring cork
    1-2ft deep
    3-5fow.
    water temp 48.

Great looking fish guys. It doesn't look like the plant being shut down has any effect on the fishing.

Good job guys, I been looking for those but apparantly in all the wrong places. Staying to far to the west perhaps. If you know when did they drop those blacknose in there? My unnoficial tally is about 50/50 blacknose to black. And as for the whites, I do not catch a ton of fish, but probably did not catch more than 3 or 4 whites in 20 trips since summer.
Take a kid fishing today: Hopefully they will grow up and take a kid fishing someday.

Good job guys. Thank you for taking the time to share that. Exellent vid!
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
