    Default Shelbyville, Wed, May 4

We had planned to fish Shelbyville this Wednesday; it will be our first time this year. I know that the water is high and muddy and wondered if it is even worth the trip. I assume the main lake would be clear enough to fish even if it is muddy up in the Wilborn area. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

goose - Wednesday looks like the best day this week as far as the weather goes. However, the state firefighers are having their state tournament that day which will put a lot more boats on the lake than usual. Finding a laydown or a brushpile that is unoccupied might be a chore.

Thank you very much for the advice. I'm not much for crowded fishing and I sure don't want to get in their way. Hopefully I can pick a day the following week.

Tourney or not. Considering it's a Wed. You should have No trouble finding a brushpile. As far as laydowns go. You can add about 50 to the Hundreds that are already there. With all the rain we have had. Lot's of new laydowns on the main lake now.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.

The firefighters are launching at the Eagle Creek ramp and the weigh-in is at 3 PM.
