Default I have a new home lake thanks to Coon Creek R.V. Park & Resort

Today Pam and I went to Shelbyville and visited several campgrounds looking for a spot to put our travel trailer. After making the rounds, we are taking a site at Coon Creek R.V. Park & Resort. In all honesty, we stopped, looked and spoke with Mike and Linda and felt we knew this was right. Mike wanted to make sure we looked at other campgrounds as well and gave directions to a couple of them. Secretly, we didn’t see the need, but we went for a drive anyway. We made our decision as to where we wanted to be and returned to Coon Creek to take some measurements of the available site we liked the best. While there measuring, we had three other campers approach us and warmly welcome us. We hadn’t made our final decision yet, and didn’t know if we’d be able to get the site. After the friendly welcome, we knew where we wanted to be. We were able to get the site and are so excited.
I won’t be fishing Pool 13 anymore, so I’m wondering if Slab can change my handle to “Shelbyville_Jeff”
My next biggest dilemma is to decide if I should get the kicker or and HDS with a good mapping chip. Before today, I was thinking the kicker was next, but I have 11,000 acres to learn…
Mike, my camper guy says 2-3 weeks before he can deliver. Now that I have a wife that I like to sleep next to, he is making some modifications to the trailer…

Sounds good on your new home. I hope You enjoy Lake Shelbyville. Hope you have a good stay! I would choice the HDS with mapping chip the water moves up and down in this lake so a good GPS unit is good to have. I only have a hand held but it takes me back to my brush piles every time no matter how high and or low the water gets.

Gps is a must if you are going out on the mainlake of shelbyville, there are flats everywhere. With the water up it isnt bad but at 596 you can end up on the beach just like a d(*(())ss bass fisherman.

Now that hurt sparky, but funny anyway. Hey jeff welcome to the neighborhood, you picked a beautifull place to stay and I think you will find everyone down here willing to help you out with the fishing (well except one). the coon creek area is very nice and usually has some fish near by so let us know just when the fish fry is. Welcome!!!!

I wasn't referring to anyone in general, but last year I saw an abandoned bass boat up by bo. I didnt see any long poles or a front seat so I figured it was a bass guy.
