Default Shelbyville Lake spring fishing question

I am looking at a spring fishing trip to Shelbyville lake this spring. I know this is a hard to answer question, but based on past spring spawns which week would be best to fish the lake:

    Week of April 19-22
    Week of April 25-28

    Thanks!!!!

So hard to predict a good week. I'd say watch on here and guys that fish it regularly will start posting water temps and water levels. Also watch weather forecasts (even though the weatherman isn't always right) for ronts and such coming thru.
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day!

Last year the fish were spawning end of April. That is at least ten days early but we had a warm spring. People are to hung up on hitting the spawn anyway. The fishing is good from mid February right on through end of May. I like winter pool ice-out myself.
Lake ices out mid to late February and you get two weeks of red hot fishing for suspended fish basking in the sun. Then you fish deep mid lake to south end on down trees and channel breaks once again suspended in highest branches. You might be in forty feet fishing just ten feet down. They are really bunched up at this time. Then in April we get an additional two feet of water and the north end comes in to play. Pretty much same pattern down trees on channels. By end of month they start moving to the bank and everyone is out there pounding those down trees so I move to the coves looking for spawners. May has us getting an additional four feet of water and then I move up the reservoir as far as you can go. There it is in a nut shell. See not so complicated. See you guys on the water soon.

Oh yeah if I could only get away from work those two periods. I would pick April 25-28. Less chance of cold rains. That is the nail biter in April. That and wind.
