    Default Lake Sangchris

Does anyone have the specifics on the closing of the East and West arms of the lake? My understanding is that they have completely closed and the only fishing is in the hot arm of the lake.

I wish I could tell you more but I still do not know the lake and haven't done well when I did go. Too bad as its 20 minutes from home and I have hung my hat on Shelbyville which is almost 90 miles one way....

Back when I still had a 25 horse motor and could still go on the lake I had a lot of luck. Main thing to remember about Sangchris that its water temps really are way ahead of non power plant lakes. Seems like you had to go late February to late March to get the spawn. Bethany cemetary cove, Railroad bridge by Tovey, and there was a point on the west side where an old duck blind used to be that had some good spawning spots, but get there early to get the spots or you never could get them. When you did catch fish they were quality 13 and 14 inch fish. Never had much luck in the autumn. Springfield I've had some luck up the creek by the marina until things heated up again planning on hitting it again on Tuesday.
