Rend Lake 10-11-10

The world stopped rotating the weekend apparently because I went to Rend and did quite well. Was camping in gun creek and had limits everyday in a very short period of time. That 10 over 10 thing though drives me crazy. Whos idea was that anyway? How about a 25 fish limit at 10 inches minumum??? I had no counter so had to keep track on my cell phone calculator. So now my cell phone has dried fish slime on the keyboard. Nice. It also helps when the wind sits down like it did. Perfect weekend for sure and for a brief shining moment I was a good rend lake fisherman.

Nice catch CP. Sorry I missed out on the fish fry. Who knows, we may convert you to a Rend Lake fisherman before it's all over. You would save on gas for sure

I may get a chance to go to Rend for a couple hours on Sat, can anyone give any hints on where this fish are being caught. I would love to find some brush and laydowns to fish, but if it is stakebeds and such that are not visible that would not be a good option. Thanks in advance for any help on this. I have fished under the bridges when the weather gets colder, otherwise I fish more at Carlyle.

duckhunter you did miss out on a tremendous fish fry with onion rings and hush puppies. We had plenty left to take home to the freezer.
