Crab has been poor all summer long. Lot of small fish and ones over 10" are real skinny. The worst summer I've known for Crab. Hope to see it improve by November.
Early to bed, early to rise,
Fish like hell, make up lies.
Where have the old regulars went? Eat, sleep, fish, CarpPoop, and fingerlicken
I Know CarpPoop coach's his daughter and maybe a few other team's. He is a great guy I'm sure he will be back soon as he knows crab better than most.

Thanks for the kind words! I didnt fish it through July and August at all. I took a couple of trips to both Canada and Lake Barkley back to back and got a little fished out! My first trip back to Crab since June was September 19. I had a buddy with me who hadnt been there and we are having a big fish fry next weekend so we were trying to get fish for that. We only ended up with 19 keepers but did catch probably 100. I think its just a cycle. Some years the lake is full of keepers and others its full of little ones. Right now its full of little ones. I think it had alot of keeper fish taken out of it this year. It will come back when the young ones grow into keepers in a year or two.
Thanks for the update, Carp. Brianlg and I were talking about your updates when we were fishing together at Lake of the Ozarks this past weekend. Good to see you back on here.

Just looking for some general info; is the campground clean up/renovation complete? Would like to make my yearly visit soon if only for a weekend.
Looks to me like at least the west portion of it is open and cleaned up. Lots of campers in there. Now the east portion thats back in the campground neck doesnt seems to have few if any campers back there. This was 2 weeks ago though.
