Went out scouting for a trip I have on Kinkaid next tuesday. Checked all my usual mainlake sets that always have a few fish in um. Well today they didn't. So I thought I would check out some shallower water to see if any crappie have started after the shad. Ended up with 22 in five hours with 7 averaging around a pound. No big fish, but alot of quality fish. All fish were caught in under 4 feet of water on a Teezur jig head and a blue and chartruese tube.

A good way to learn a new lake is to study lake maps, but the BEST Way is to hire a guide, this way you will pick up several years of "Learning" in one Day.

Thanks for the info, good to see someone who isn't afraid to give out some useful info. Most people are scared to death to give anything away.
