    Default Shelbyville Crappie

I haven't seen anything on shelbyville crappie fishing so I will let you know what I found out. I went out Sunday morning and caught around 30 crappie and not a single one was over 10 inches. I was fishing anywhere from 8 to 20 ft of water and caught most from 4-8 ft deep. I figure the bigger ones are still out wondering in deeper water. Hopefully they will move in once the water drops. Water temps 75 degrees.

Two of us fished Shelbyville today for white bass. I would rather fish for crappie, but the whites were hitting so well we didn't even give crappie a try. We fished two points and three flats and found a ton of fish on one point and two of the flats. We were taking two at time on double jig rigs and during a space of 30 minutes we boated 50 whites. I am sure after five hours on the water we had boated over 200 whites. I weighed several of them and everything I weighed went from one ounce under to one ounce over a pound. Like Welch said, we found them in two feet of water or less. Thanks Steve for the good info you provide the Shelbyville fishermen.
