I have. Only got to use it for a week but i liked the feel of it. I also have the genz and an eagle claw. As i said, i've only had the oppertunity to use them for a week, due to losing our ice here in NW PA, but the EC is a much better reel than either of the others. Looking forward to getting back out to enjoy some more time on the ice.

I am sure there will be more free spool inline reels on the market soon.
I have to admit my EC inline is a sweet reel and has worked flawlessly so far.
I got mine from sportsman's Guide.

I have used the EC for about 30 trips now and like it a lot and is the best one that I have used as a inline reel. The only draw back with it is, if you like to lay the reel in the palm of your hand and jig, when reeling with it in that position its very hard to do because the back side ( the one against your palm) turns as you reel. I hold the reel like one would hold a reg. spinning reel so it doesn't bother me. So I have no problem with that. Good luck.... STEVE
