    Default Night Fishing Light.

For any of you guys that ice fish at night for Crappie, I took a couple pictures last night outside my shack to see how bright my underwater light was. Tell me what you think. I have 2 of them, the one I used last night was the 714, I also have a 408. You can see them all at Name: 2012-01-30 003.jpg

It is my understanding that is illegal here in Minnesota. That varies from state to state.

Hell, I would have to move!! I would rather fish at night for Crappie than at any other time. You really cant use a light? Even a lantern?

You can use a headlamp or a lantern so that you can see, but you may not use a light in the water or shining directly on the water to attract fish, as I understand it. A lot of us fish here at night anyway. Generally a headlamp is pretty standard equipment then.
