    Default Finally got my 15"er

Always wanted to land a Crappie 15" or bigger, and Friday it finally happened. We've been waiting a long time for the ice season to start here in IL, and on the first day of this much anticipated season I landed a true slab. We took a couple of pictures, and then let her swim away.

Mild winter up here, it only got below zero a little bit just this past week. Back up into the 20's and higher next week by the forecast. I intend to be out 3 or 4 afternoons this next week. And then we are in February already. This is just about the mildest winter I can remember so far.

Congrats on the slab crappie and your PB. It's good to hear the ice has got thick enough to fish on.
