Default If I was a girl deer .....

on our place , I would probably be all giddy and smiling with my big brown eyes at him as well ...
he is the ONLY buck on our place allowed with the does and fawns anytime he wants ....
all other bucks in the area are a no no on the interaction list ....but for sure not him ...
prolly cause he is just SO pretty is my guess

one thing for certain , to get to his age class in that part of the everyone wants a deer world , it is pretty difficult to get to be a mature buck deer.
mind you this , It would tickle me to harvest him , but it would also sadden me as well .....
he sure has put in some time being a slick fella .... he rarely shows even his nose when you have feet on the ground

Very nice Buck! they don't get big and old by being dumb.. But a hot doe can get them in plenty of trouble.

one thing I have noticed about him over the years is he is pretty good about not being stupid over does , the does on our place seem to welcome him and not run all over the place acting stupid like so many do during the rut .
this coupled with the numbers of eyes noses and ears around him often give him that edge to avoid detection .
he is almost always the last to show his nose and sprends lots of time watching the other deer , a slick one for sure .
I watched just "his rack" in the brush one time for about 30 minutes while the rest of the deer came and went and never moved a flicker , don't think he knew I was even there , he is just that good at not being noticed
