Few Deer Hitting the New Plot

We plant oats and winter peas together in one section and wheat, turnips, and radishes in another section. And all of our plots have standing corn. They hit the oats/peas hard in early season and the wheat/turnips/radishes in late season. They eat the standing corn all season. The main thing is that we do not put extreme pressure on the plots and will not shoot a doe off a plot until mid December. Has worked well for us.

there is a food plot mix here in texas that has 16 seeds in it ....all the things you mentioned and a bunch more
sure works well bringing them all winter ....they hit the different items as they mature and or get edible .....
I saw how they have your edges already down to the dirt ....that's always a good thing for sure

That is why we seperate our seeds instead of mixing them together. Eventhough they do not eat much of the wheat or turnips early, when we mixed them with our oats and peas they would tromp them down and they would not grow as well. We now seperate where the late winter stuff can grow better. Has seemed to work well for us.
