Nice. Nothing wrong with those to me. Looks like you did a decent job even if tough.

KABOOM .....LS folks typically put it on them fish noses ....of course that isnt always the silver bullet ....if I were you I would have likely danced my jig pretty hard of all else failed right above them about a foot or 2 ....they were likely picking off the bait that looked wrong is my guess

I've had this situation before. one of the things I've done was "match the hatch" I always keep a variety of ice fishing tackle on the boat and one of those lures that works like an injured shad/ bait fish is the (CLAM outdoors) Pinhead pro silver holo color. great lure and presentation. as Ketchn stated have to dance pretty decent but seems to always strike a bite.

when they arn't biting with jigs in their faces and lots o bait around you have to switch it up and try multiple different presentations. Even on Docks if my dipping into brush or shade isn't working I start at one end of dock and walk it up so I am swimming the jigs faster. His bait casting and that are same thing getting them to reaction bite. Or casting a jig with curly tail past dock and bringing it in fast. I switch up my presentations unless it is working well and then I keep doing that.

Plus some of my friends call me Ole beady eyes because I watch everyone around me and if someone is having KABOOM and doing x with a particular type of jig or lure, guess -what? I will do that as well. Or go over introduce myself and talk to them about what they are doing, compliment them on their success and what they think the crappie are doing and make a new friend.
