FYI that limit in the grass was from a buddy of mine who like several of the older fishing guru's on this lake. He didn't go as usual at dawn in his one spot because some jokers had figured out how well he does and beat him there two mornings in a row, so he was home pouting. when I got there wasn't anyone in parking lot or on his spot so I called him, it was around 9 something and sure enough he came roaring up but someone had moved to his spot.

my friend with the ranger had come so we were motoring over to bridge when I saw dude moving off THE SPOT and saw my nearly 80 year old friend SPRINTING to get there! LOL. ended up with a limit in less than an hour as he was fishing just a few feet from where we were. Great example of if you get off the couch and go great things could happen.

He dropped off the fish at my place and payed it forward to a family that loves to eat them. Win win win situation. As I have been trying to have him stop going so early and feeling his way down the rip rap in the dark often where he has fallen multiple times.

I ended up with a dozen really nice fish and buddy had about the same number but more in the 9 to 10 range.

I know you really dislike those birds Outlaw but loved the combination of those white pelicans and those.
