    Those are pretty cool. I had a similar one but it was corded. I threw it out and let it float beside my kayak.

    what is the price range for the different units? for a bank/dock noted ludite dude like myself this seems to be a reasonable solution as I rarely use my lowrance on my toon as it doesn't just switch on and work, I'd have to spend a lot of time figuring it out and I'd rather be ketchn.

    especially around docks it would seem to be able to eliminate dead water by wandering around and get you on the more productive docks to concentrate on. or around bridges and places on the bank where you know there is brush out there and need to find it.

    agree on having a heavier pole with braid or heavy line to do your searching and then have your crappie pole to fish with.
