WTG nothing like a fishing trip with good friends and doing some fun ketchn and eating said ketch. Then to have a BOOM of a ghost fish grabbing your line and taking off for a major battle? Good for you guys and then to be able to hoist it for a moment and get a good pic and then release it. Epic trip for sure.

ONe time I was in kanora canada for a trip we were ketchn tons of pike and smallmouth when suddenly hitting a disturbance on a point Whem a monster Muskie grabbed my crank and took off when it realized it was hooked RIGHT at my boat! Went under me and suddenly Ping the steel leader popped and off he went. Looked like a tidal wave coming at me and all I could think of was Need a bigger boat! That was my 30 second Muskie one and only experience. So congrats for netting it and getting a epic pic.

Great catch and fun times. I too had some of those monsters on my line. When I lived in PA we use to go to Canada every year and catch walleye and big northern pike up to 55 inches. I know the fun your group had . Very good post, thanks for sharing.
