    Yes it is Doug.

    These same companies and individuals that say "scent is to mask other odors..." are making baits infused with scents such as garlic and coffee. By doing so, you are not trying to mask an odor but actually adding one for a specific reason. I wonder what "Coffee" imitates to the fish?

    After I wrote this, I was able to find another scent producing company that made mention of Garlic smelling like BLOOD to fish.

    A very good read. I have often wondered why fish like garlic scent. This answer works for me. Thanks for the info.
