What's the food source, Sonny?? I would go on record and say these are the biggest naturally occurring bluegill in North America...is it a combination of Southern California's weather and a long growing season?

Wow...just wow!
Troy - lots of critters on the dam, even the crawdads aren't safe. Then there are all the bug hatches, baby fry, Threadfin Shad (heard American Shad are back), Shiners, and now there is some much flooded brush. The water stays warm all winter. And to fertilize everything we have all kinds of birds that lived here and visit. Grebes are my favorite, 2nd is the gnat catchers, they tell you where to start looking for the larger fish.
There are 2 other lakes I believe have better fish; San Vicente and Lake Havasu. Also Diamond Valley and Lake Skinner have trophy fishing. These are all public lakes.
Those are nothing short of wonderful fish that any of us would our eye teeth for. Maybe one day I’ll get some like that, never hurts to try. thanks for the pics and education.
Would love to get some of your jigs. (Chub belly spinners).1/48 #6 hook.

Your always welcome Tim - got a big boat...
Baby cub - don't sell jigs and not a sponsor. But I am looking to trade for some duck feathers and have a post in the personal classified forum. Thnx for your interest.
I am always amazed by the quality of the fish you catch. Those are incredible fish.
