    Nice fish and a good report. Wouldn't be the first time that I double dipped with a fish already in the net. I hate losing a nice one also.

    Well Done! I know that in the winter the bait (shad usually) goes deep and in big groups. The crappie follow them closely in the winter to feed. Thanks for sharing!

    the bait schools do lots of different things in these parts come winter . looks like a fun trip ...nice read
