A good start to the story but a smelly end. Have had the same thing happen with a container of nightcrawlers. It is a smell you wont forget soon.

Been there done that but it's really bad when the wind blows wrong and the neighbors come over asking if the old dog has passed!!!!!!

yuck for sure .....don't know how many I "forgot" over the years but to be sure it a stinky mess if they sit for very long
