    Living in Gar country, I've resigned myself to using braid for the most part. Here's a post about the braid: http://www.crappie.com/crappie/main-...ded-line-game/
    I absolutely hate breaking my line when there's a fish on. It's the worst feeling.

    It's 14 and 15 lb braid. And when I use mono, I use 10lb test. I got tired of loosing baits to gar when I fished with 6 lb line. I still dip the pads with 6 or 8 lb test mono though. I like braid, but it's a love hate relationship. I hate it's rag like and auto knot tying abilities. Get your lines tied up together, might as well just start cutting.
