Dang, I almost forgot that this whole process got started back in 2010 by Shipahoy41 proposing Snake River as the first winner of the award. It was prior to the official process but it counts, and Snake River is actually the first recipient of the JMMA award that same year my father passed.

Having never had the pleasure of meeting Barnacle Bill, I send my Congratulations.

Having spent several days in both my and his boat with Chaunc (Kenny), I will have to say here publicly that he is without a doubt the best all-around fisherman I have ever had the pleasure to meet and one of the nicest and most helpful folks out there. We met some time ago here on the forums and our first encounters were essentially arguments over 2 different policies concerning a certain species of fish that happened to not be crappie. Thankfully both of our positions moved toward the middle and we can laugh now about the disagreements. There is no greater ambassador for our sport than Kenny and I am literally ticked to death to see him awarded Man of the Year.
