You have mentioed everything I like in a jigging pole to Ed. I will have to give one a try also. John Godwin on the show is a big time crappie fisherman too. Thanks for posting this article, like always good reading.

Was in our local Bass Pro (little rock) was looking at the crappie rods (am an ozark rod fan) one of bass pros sales man walked up said can I help you asked him if they had Ozark crappie rods!! Said they did not but he crappie fished and showed me the( double touch duck commander rods) they are what he used said take one out try it if I liked it keep it if not they would give my money back and if I kept it and it broke for any reason they would replace free of charge!! Great rod (10' ft)went back and bought an( 8') great rod for casting roadrunners even a light (1/16 oz roadrunner) good rods at a good price!! Great read and their crappiemax reels make a good combo!!!

Good article. I too like going retro in my TV shows. The Carol Burnett show with Harvey and Tim is pretty tough to beat. I'd also like to see television producers going back to the half hour genre of westerns like Maverick, Sugar Foot & Bonanza. However, another area I find myself going retro is in fiberglass rods. For some reason I'm migrating back to the toughness and sensitivity of glass. I fly fished for over 10 years with graphite but as of late, I'm just more comfortable with the feel of fiberglass. Different strokes I guess. It's nice that we aren't all the same, for fear that we'd all be like me.
BTW, I really enjoy Duck Dynasty.

From what I understand....John Godwin was instrumental in the design od the Duck Commander poles. I have a Double touch and I like it a lot.
