Nice report on looks like a great place to fish and relax. I haven't checked yet, but how are the motels? How about setting up a slabfest next year, both by boat or barge fishing. Sounds like it would be a great get together.

Lived within 30 miles of the mighty mississippi my first 18 years and haven't fished there. Worked on a farm outside Red Wing in 1956, have seen Lake Pepin from the bluffs on Minnesota side. Are the barges like they use in Texas?? Looks like you've had a good time.--shu
