Very nice! My twist on prepping a night stalk was to rig regular household 120v outlets and tie them into my 12v system. This way I don't have to cut the cords and add alligator clamps. I have 60w Rough Service bulbs for my setup. If I need to use the light for something else in my shop, I just change the bulb back to a 120v and am good to go. About ten years ago, I started using a Hoppys black light for lighting up my line. I use a clear blue flourescent line that the black light makes the slightest hit detectable. I can see it better than a high visibility light in the daytime! The black light does not draw near the bugs in either. I'll still drop a white light down in the drink, but try to keep topside as dark as possible. I've installed 6 LED lights on the interior sides of my boat to illuminate the floor when I need to get up and walk around for something. Other than that, I leave them off as it can actually be too bright. For tying purposes, I keep an adjustable LED light on the bill of my cap. I turn it on as needed. Since I figured out I like the dark better topside, I haven't used the aluminum clamp light in years now and I absolutely love how well the black light makes my line (and bobbers) shine.

Bottom line is that night time fishing for Crappie is as good as it gets....period! Thanks for the info Rango, ya done good!

excellent read ,i like the white tips idea , i used white reflective tape for a whole .92 cents, i will see those light bites now
