I know Capps and Coleman are hard to beat but.....Its really hard to beat a Road Runner! Great baits and they will catch anything that swims.
I normally use a slip cork with my jigs, keeps them upright and helps with getting them tangled
Enjoyed the article TJ, and I'm getting jealous of you rubbin elbows with the big guns. Grenada is one of my trips that just have to happen one day, soon I hope. Sounds like fun, and a few lessons maybe too. Thanks...Tim.
You guys are too kind. Writing about crappie fishing is almost is good as eating BBQ for me. (Slab can vouch for me about BBQ.) And good catch paddlefoot, they used chartruese shad RR heads and white RR heads on those Lake Fork Shads. Oh, they used another color LF Shad that I couldn't decide if it was pink or orange. Good looking color.
I really didn't mean that to be derogatory. Those two guys are class acts . I enjoyed the article TJ . And one day I can only hope to be as good as fishermen that they are.
Wow TJ !!
Thanks so much for the opportunity and fun that we had just being able to take you on a crappie chasing trip. Someone like yourself who shares the love of the sport truely knows how to appreciate the "tiny things" that we have worked to fine tune for the better part two lifetimes in being devoted to these fine little panfish. Great article and we will surely look forward to making the next trip.
Good Fishing with calm winds !!
