    I love that you posted this story. I have had something similar happen several times. I have been crappie fishing before and hook a small stripe or bream and have a bass scare the crap outta me. As I would go to pull the fish out the bass would grab it and take off. Every time it was a bass 10 pound or better and they either finally let go or broke my 4 pound test. I never had one take a crappie though. Thanks for the pic

    Congrats on the catches... I never had anything like that happen to me, I did see a guy catch a bream only to have a huge catfish hit it near the bank and after a little fight, it broke the line. Thanks for the story and pics to go with it.

    Great story and great pic. I know bass will eat just about anything, but was recently researching how much Crappie they may or may not eat...wasn't really sure. Its good to see a first hand accont, lol!!!

    I had a few gar and a big catfish take a small crappie on the line before I got them in the boat this year. When longlining you dont always know when those tiny skidders are on the hook but when they get hit by something bigger you do.
