Gewbers update

Slab have you had anyone try these on a hook with a minnow just wondering.

Not that I know of. I've not tried that myself. But I had a good day today, all with Gewbers. Caught everything from Crappie to Northern Pike. 20 in two hours. Best day for me here in Illinois in a long time. And it was a local, smaller lake! Never woulda thought.

Here's my buddy with a big northern pike caught on a jig with gewbers. We caught 14 crappie 3 bass and 3 northern.

It's not a dough, it's more a gel, so it would just be torn up in a pasta extruder, I THINK? It's made hot, then cools to a gummy bear type product.

Maybe a piping bag like they use for cake decorating

Some of the meat grinders that are used with sausage stuffing tubes have some small diameter tubes that I think it would work. The pressure from the screw will force the product thru the tube.

Tried them out this weekend, only caught 2 fish all day, but weather was main cause of lack of bites. Seemed to stay on hook well, but package got a little hot and most melted by the afternoon.

I tried it again last week in Wisconsin and caught a few sunfish with it. The fish there were in a mood so its hard to say how well it worked. Heat was the big thing. I have about 1/3 of the trial package left and have it in the freezer where I'll keep it until I hit docks and colder water and weather. I think this bait will work good under ice.

Thank you for your feedback. I have a line on making it less susceptible to melting. That'll be in my next batch I make up next week. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
