    Default super excited!

I just received my slab sauce Friday afternoon before I went to work. I am very excited to try it out this up coming Tuesday morning. I will be using on my beetle spin, purple tube, and glow jig with chartreuse head. I don't know why but these combo always work the most for me in the early spring. There is limited open water but I'm going anyways! Thumbs Up will report back soon!

So I've never actually fished this early in the year before but I did go fishing. I used a purple tube at first just to see what i'd get....nothing much just a few nibbles but not long enough for me to set the hook. With the slab sauce fished stayed on longer. Did not use the beetle spin. I used a purple rat finkie hook with waxies and a dab of slab sauce. It worked good! I caught a lot of gills and a few crappie but they were very small so no keepers. Report back the next time I go.

another report...went yesterday at 9am to Lake Monona Madison WI and was pulling in some nice size gills. The first four casts I hooked up 4/4 on a purple rat finkie hook tipped with a wax worm. The bite slowed down at around 10:15 am and I had 10 gills. I decided to whip out the slab sauce because in the spot I was fishing, crappies are known to hang about. No crappies bit but at noon when I left, I caught my limit of 25. I threw a bunch of smaller gills back. I gotta hand it to the slab sauce, it works!

Good report, thanks. It's always good to hear about the product working. There's no reason it shouldn't, essentially it's just fish oil (two different kinds) and fish food in a "as sticky as I can get it" base. And the difference between the Slab Sauce and Liquid Minnow is minor. Just a little different fish food ingredients, and slightly different fish oils ratio.

Your welcome ! No biggie ... I just remembered that Ed had put the link in one of the threads in this forum. You can also access the page by clicking on the "c.c Hats/Shirts" link, up in the top border.
