Default Catfish, Perch and Slab sauce!

Well, after using slab sauce all kinds of ways. I have found its True potential!

    CATFISH!
I found that injecting slab sauce into a perch's gut sack area DRAMATICLY improves my catfish hookups!

What I do is catch Live perch aprox 3-6", Use a ice pick to poke a hole into his belly, Carefull not to injure his internal organs.
Then inject him with slab sauce. till it runs out of him if he moves.
Then fish him Live. As he swims around he leaves a scent trail, when he is bit he oozes sauce. He will swim like this for a very long time!

Or Beat him up with a screw driver handle till he's all busted up and just twitching, this bloodies up the meat and allows the slab sauce to spread around inside him.
Then cut him into 7 parts. Tail, 4 mid sections, 2 upper and 2 lower, then cut the head from above eye to lower gill.
Once cut, put unused parts in a baggie with some slab sauce in it. this keeps the bait fresh and does not dry out. Perfect if your bobber fishing.

This has been BYFAR the best bait combo I have ever used!

Catfish, Gar, Bowfin, Will bite and NEVER let go!
It has dbl'd my landing ratio over plain perch!

I have started maronating my cut bream in slab sauce as well, then freezing them for later use. Its results are yet to be determined. I will be going out tonight to try it for the first time.

So Bravo! You have made one of the best catfish baits avalible and didnt even know it.

This is too funny. A little gross of a description, but too funny. The scent is based on fish oil, but does have other ingredients that I know fish like as well.

The stuff is concentrated. I've always said that you do not need a lot of the stuff on a jig. And I can imagine that if a lot of the scent is used, in a heavy dose, the catfish will be all over it.

Thanks for the report. I'll have to come up with a variety specifically for catfish now. Thanks again.

When you make your catfish sauce, let me know.

I'm fishing in various small ponds and lakes almost 40hours a week now.
So I can test it very well for ya. :D

I catch Catfish in warm weather alot on tube jigs and often I use scents on them. Main reason I use scents is to make putting tube baits over leadheads easier.
