Default Good Weather For The Weekend!

Looks like a great weekend for you guys around the Cochran area if you wanna get out for some early morning crappie fishing. Up here in N. Ga the fish have began their fall feeding making their sides poke out like the fish from last spring looked. With shorter days, mild nights and not-quite-so-hot days the water is definitely cooling off a little bit. With this weekend being a week from Labor Day Weekend maybe the pleasure boaters and water lice will give it a break waiting for their BIG WEEKEND and last big HURRAY before winterizing. Check out those opvernight lows and tell me what youre thinking about doing this weekend.:thumbup

Not just for the fishing ...but just glad all together that this hot summer is coming to an end. I hate summer.. good for nothing. I like standing around a fire, wearing flannel shirts, eating soups and stews ,hunting, fishing and college football! (Go dawgs)
Minnows are for kids<<<update this statement is being reconsidered!

We took the boat out to Lake Blackshear today to try it out...No, I didn't take any fishing poles with me so I guess I was "Water Lice" this morning....But we ran from one end of the lake a couple of times and the boat did exceptionally well. Nice, smooth ride and easy to handle. Not quite as fast as my other boat. This one topped out at 41 mph which is plenty fast for me on the water. I did troll for a while just to see how it would handle and it was superb. Just a little bit of wind and lots of choppy water from the rest of the water lice gave me a good indication. I'll give up that little bit of speed for comfort anyday...100% Satisfied!!!
