I can't wait for the docks to start producing good fish again. I ain't caught a true slab in a couple months. Driving me crazy don't think I remember what one looks like anymore.
Me too! The docks and the timber. Wonder why there are small dinks under the docks and not bigger slabs? I figured they would all kind of be together. All I know is based off of how many small fish I caught this summer its gonna be real good in a few years. I let all of mine go so can grow into big uns. I have set my own personal slot size limit. If she don't go 10 inches or better she goes back to live another day. With that being said my wife and I are down to 8 filets left from this spring in the freezer. Gonna have to get back at it!
Mtnman thats more of an exception than the rule...dont ever think just small ones are under docks. It was just bad timing before you started fooling with shooting docks..theys some big slabs under there MOST of the time.

Kbaker I agree I go just to get on the water and relax. And jigslinger is right you never know what's sitting under them docks. We have caught some big ol slabs from docks you would think they had no business being under. Just like all the posts in the last few weeks. Lots of guys are catching them shallow. Who would have thought that in August.
