Prayers sent. Thankfully neighbors helped wake them. Thankfully they are OK. Prayers sent.
That’s wonderful that they were awoken and their lives saved. It’s a shame that they lost things that can’t be replaced as in a lifetime of family photos.
My prayers for both of them in this difficult time of their lives is that God comforts and provides for them in their time of need.

Here is the GoFundMe for PapaSage
"My Aunt & Uncle, long time residents of Fitzgerald, GA, Faye & Sage Strickland, lost their home last Saturday to a house fire. Sage owned Strickland Upholstery for 40+ years before retiring 12 years ago. He continued to work small jobs at his home but has had some health issues. He had knee replacement surgery and was recuperating at home when the fire happened. 2 wonderful boys in the area noticed the fire early Saturday morning and were able to kick in the front door and rescue both of them while they were sleeping. Sage’s truck was also lost in the fire. Sage and Faye are currently staying with one of their children until temporary housing can be found. If you can help, please donate and show them how much the Fitzgerald community appreciates them."

So sorry to hear about the fire but grateful they escaped the fire. Had the pleasure of taking papa sage fishing one day at lake Talquin. We still talked about fishing at lake Blackshear and the previous Crappie.com events were enjoyable. Prayer for the Sage family.
