Jim and I trolled for crappie today on Jackson Lake. We started about 8:00 and the bite was steady all day. We quit fishing at 4:30. The water was 52-56 degrees. We caught 29 fish 17 were 10-10.5 inches and 12 were 11-15 inches. Jim caught a 15 inch brute that was his personal best on Jackson. We trolled 1 mph and found fish in the coves and the mouth of coves. Jim pushed 8 rods out of the front with 1/32 oz jig heads and a 3/4 oz trolling sinker. He also landed fish on 4 of the 8 long lines we had out the side of the boat. I pulled 4 rods out the back. Most of the long lines were rigged with double 1/16 oz jig heads, one rod was rigged with a single 1/16 oz jig and some were rigged with a 3/32 jig on top and a 1/32 jig on the bottom. The best colors were John Deere, Blue/Black/Chart. and June Bug. It was a beautiful day on the water.
