The “Swiftwater” crocs have a regular boat shoe sole for wet surface gripping. I have used 2 pair with success on wet surfaces while loading the boat. I still try to be careful about slips. Hope you are well and back posting those nice catches soon.

Sorry for the injury brother. I'm sure we've all taken a spill or two loading and unloading the boat. I know I certainly have.
I don't know about you, but in my older age I bruise like never before and my ole' skin has turned to crepe paper.

I put skateboard adhesive no-slip grip tape, which is very rough, like sandpaper, all over the tongue of my trailer and front edge of boat where I climb over when loading. I also bought a pair of Sperry deck shoes. I fish 99% of the time by myself, and don't want to bust my hiney. I don't heal as fast as I used to.
Ain't that the truth. Don't know your age but once ya hit 50 you never seem to heal up completely. You just walk around broken, beaten and battered.Quote:

I got some sandpaper type grip tape from work and put it on the area. Now if I fall I will have a good case of road rash as well.:Rofl

I came close to going down at ramp the other day, I was wearing crocs. I have ordered some deck shoes myself, sorry for your misery. P.S-- Do not wear flip flops.
I'm old and disabled and fish by myself most of the time. Some days I just can't crawl into or out of boat while loading and unloading the boat. I ordered a set of the trailer bow steps today.. A friend has them on his boat and it is simple and safe for me to enter and exit his boat.
I did the same and love the steps. The other thing I added was a Drotto Latch. I can drive my boat up on the trailer and it latches itself. No worries about cranking it up on the trailer.Quote:
