Fishing was pretty slow today, but the wind was fast. I'll bet there was 30mph winds on the lake. We did find a few though in 10' of water at about 6' deep. We did catch one nice one at 2lb 3oz. This fish is just as big as my 2lb 11oz fish only this ones belly was sunk in. I sure would have loved to catch it when it was full. We only fished for 4 hours in no name creek before we couldn't stand the wind anymore and we kept 10 fish.

It payed off... That is the 3rd largest crappie I've ever caught. I think I need to invest in a wind sock though. All that wind was really rough to fish in especially long line trolling.

Since I have a limited number or oprotunitys to fish, I try to make the most of them. The wind was almost THIS bad at blackshear slabfest back in feb.

heck I knew you were crazy before you went out today!

Glad to see you landing some bigguns... That 3 pounder might be on next trip... Keep fishing... whenever you can.... I knew you were crazy about crappie fishing! If I had a bigger boat I'd fish wind more but the water comes over the bow.

I know what you mean with the water comming over the bow. During the last blackshear slabfest the whitecaps were coming over the bow and I was soaked from the knee's down. My son still talks about winning money fishing. He thinks you should always win money while fishing:o
