    Talking 4/10..4/11/07...Tobosofkee...It ain't over Yet

Went to Tobo on Tuesday and Wends, to see what the cold snap had done to the fish. Water temp was 58* both mornings warming up to 61* to 62* in the afternoon. Water was nice and green tinted.

I caught 70 fish in 2 days, kept 40 for the pot. Alot of dinks relased for next years crop, the keepers were all good eating size fish. All the famales were full of eggs and the males still had spawning colors.

The hot colors were orange/chartreuse, yellow/ white, popsicle, all were caught in 12-15 ft. of water with the fish holding between 7-9 ft.

This weekend ought to be real good, But I'm heading to Stienahatchee for 3 days of Speckled trout fishing (#2 on my favorite fish to fish for)with my Dad.
Be back on the water here Tuesday.

Thanks for the Tobo report Dutch. Sounds like you had a blast. I will be heading to Rocky CreeK (right at Stienahatchee) with my brother this weekend as well. We will be out at night though gigging Sheephead, Drum and Mullet from an airboat. Ive heard they are tearing up the Speckle Trout during the day. Good luck and be safe.
