    Caught 47 using minnows 3-5ft off bottom. Water temp. Was 51

    How deep was the bottom you were 3-5 ft off of? Can't get on 'em in my lake - maybe they are down deeper than I thought. I'm just learning how to crappie fish.

    next time they may be 12 ft from the top. you never know till you get there and watch your depth finder and try a different color or use minnows.
