    Default Lake Blackshear report 9-22-2017

Fished lake Blackshear today from 730am until 1pm and found a mess. Hydrilla and duckweed along with moss and floating logs had the lake jammed up from 280 bridge south. Managed to find 2 brushpiles that had fish on them that was out of the trash line and kept 38 crappie. Only caught 1 keeper white crappie but threw back 40+ between 4 and 9 inches. We didn't catch many throw back black crappie. We were longlining jigs over the 2 piles and the fish were running 12 to 16 feet deep. Litewire hooks in chartreuse and orange were the ticket with anything dark. Water temp was 76 when we started.

Thanks. Sounds like you just made up my mind. Blackshear it is. Maybe I'll find a few. Great report.
