Default lock and dam trip 3/10 in the wind

The fishing was great at the lock and dam yesterday. Still cannot catch a crappie. Water was up wind was really rough but nearly everybody in a boat was catching dusty. We caught 80-100 white bass and 1 crappie that was lost. Caught most on red minnow using double rig. One guy fishing against the overflow wall caught a limit of the best crappie I have seen. We used up 8 dozen minniows and switched over to bg blue ghost jigs ad caught a fish every 3rd cast but I think they would hit anything. The biggest thrill of the day was hooking something possibly a large stripe that folded a 14 ft bum pole completely under the boat it took both of us to get it out of the rod holder. Didn't know 6 lb crappie viscous line was that tough. This is a great place to take a youngster and will only get better if the weather permits. The white bass in pic were average size

Sounds like a fun day. I'm glad y'all did good. Can't beat the fight of a white bass on lite tackle.

This is one place that I have never fished in Georgia. May try it one day.

    Thanks for the post.
