Default DAY BEFORE VALENTINE'S DAY FISHING

I finally got my wife in the boat with me for her annual fishing trip. I told her it was her Valentine's Day present. I lead a dangerous life.

Anyway we went to Lake Oconee and began fishing around 8:30 a.m. There was a breeze and it was cool and the fish were keeping their mouths shut. We were pulling jigs with 8 rods and the wind died around 10:00. When it did the fish began to move up in the water column and also started biting. At 10:00 we had 5 fish. We quit fishing at 1:15 with 30 fish in the cooler and they were still biting. Tricia caught the two biggest fish of the day a 14 inch and a 15 inch that I imagine was over 2 lbs. We finally hit it just right. Actually I think she enjoyed it. She doesn't like fishing. She likes catching. So do I. We had fun but I worked my tail off. All she can do is reel a fish to the net. That's a start. We had a blessed day. By the way the water was 54-55 when we started and 57 when we finished. I heard a report of 60 degree water in the back of one of the creeks.
