    Default Fort Stewart Ga


    Any one in the area that can give me some good pointers , I mostly fish on post but I would like to move to bigger and better water and some where I can run my big motor.

    The Savannah river is the only fresh water i know of . when my brother was station there he fished the ponds on base .
    unles you willing to drive a long ways . lake Blackshear or Occonee .
    retired and now i will always fish

    Yeah, I been told about the savannah river but I have never fished for crappie in a river on know any of the spots I need to hit , thanks for you info

    Clark hill 2,1/2 to 3 hours good lake

    Oconee and Sinclare is about the same distance and those lakes has been hot this year . look at hatwaters post .

    Santee Cooper two lakes, 2 to 3 hours, Doctors lake in Jacksonville Fl. off the St, johns river 2to 3 hours , you are in the middle of them

    All the big water is 3 hours drive in either direction except santee cooper. It's 2.5 hours. All are worth the drive. Just check this forum for any reports before you head out. Clark Hill is an area favorite. I will send you a pm with more details. Welcome!

    Guys thanks for the info, what about Jackson lake it's about 3.5 hr but my folks live out there haven't fished it in about 10 years (befor I join the army) one good that about Jackson I get free room and bored

    Jackson lake is reel good at times If you got free room, good place to start you are 45 to 1hour form Oconee Thank you for serving our country
