We fished Blackshear on Saturday and found fish in the mouth of the creeks in 8-10 fow and on some flats in 12-15 fow. Had to wade thru some smaller fish to find some keepers. We tried shooting some trees and docks in the back of the creeks for about 1 1/2 hours but came up with nothing there. All fish were caught longlining with the darker color jigs being the best. We tried to keep the jigs in the 6-8 ft range and that seemed to work the best for us in the mouth of the creeks and went a little deeper with jig presentation out on the flats. A little bit of rain early in the day and windy toward 11:00 or so thru the rest of the day. The wind made it hard to stay on the fish. The biggest fish we caught was a 16 in white crappie that had already spawned. She only weighed 1.69 lbs. Some of the black crappie still had eggs but they were ready to spew at any time now.
