Well - from all the reports, it looks like I should have gone to Oconee. Water was stained and rising fast - lots of debris in the river made traveling very "interesting". Fished two different areas of the lake and only ended with seven nice crappie. I did catch two large mouth and one stripe bass (always fun on the ultra light poles), but never really found them. Water was 44 when I started, and up to about 49 when I left. I tried many techniques today, but nothing really worked for me. I guess that's why they call it fishing and not catching. Still a beautiful day on the water!!

Did you fish any in Veasey Creek? If yes, was it stained?
Earl - Rest assured, I will do that!! I am always open to suggestions. I'm still learning this lake. I've only been in the area about two years, and it was only earlier this year that I really started to fish West Point (or any GA lake). I really appreciate the offer!! Heck, maybe we could get out together - I only decided to go late Friday night, so I was there alone.
Danbo - No, I was more up river. I first put in at Ringer, and the second launch was at Sunny Point.
