Default Best places to shop, kennesaw area

Hey guys. I live up in Toronto Canada, but am coming down to visit my in laws in acworth for christmas. I enjoy fishing for crappie and sunfish here at home, but they are not taken as seriously as other fish here and the tackle selection is somewhat limited. I was hoping to do some shopping while in town and was wondering if you could recommend any good shops in the area. I know about the bass pro and the cabelas, but was wondering if there were other places that locals would recommend for a good selection of rods and lures.

    thanks in advance!

I don't know of any smaller shops but I have been to the Cabela's there and it seemed to have a good selection for crappie fishing. Hope you enjoy your visit.

Thanks Specklocker, the Cabelas was a bit of an unknown for me, as it has been two years since I was last down and it wasn't there yet. We have both Cabelas and BPS here, but the selection of panfish gear is very small and mostly limited to ice fishing choices, so I wasn't sure what the focus at one in the south would be. Glad to hear they have a good selection, as the bass pro is a fair bit out of the way.

The selection at our Cabelas is very good. Good selection of Southern Pro grubs in different styles and colors. Can't get them at BPS. There's about a whole aisle and a half dedicated to just crappie/panfish products. The Cabelas brand isn't to bad with a few color combos that other companies don't make. I think you will be pleased!
Fishing is like pizza.......Even when it's not that good, it's still pretty good!

Also try Academy Sports if one is close by. They have some good items as well, but they are a multi sports store so not as much fishing as BPS or Cabellas but worth a stop if you find one.
