Default Slow Day on Oconee 10/12/15

Today Kowboy and I had a slow day on Oconee. We marked lots of fish and fished hard but only managed to keep 9 fish. The water temperature never got above 72 degrees. The fish we did catch were quality fish. In the pictures below Kowboy is holding a pair of 13 inchers and I am holding a 14.5 inch fish.

It was good to see Cuz on the water in his new boat. He said Earl was a little under the weather. I am going to bow hunt the rest of the week and then my youngest son and I are going trout fishing in Montana October 21-28. Hopefully, the crappie fishing will be "wide open" when I return in a couple of weeks. Good fishing and ya'll Be Safe!

It was very slow for us also Hotwater. Water temp was 69 where we were at.. We only had 5 keepers. Good luck to you and your son in Montana. Be sure to send us some pics.

I like pulling also. Just been doing the minnow thing lately. Like I always say "I'm still learning". I'm also Dutch which is synonymous with hard headed.

Hey, I am not hard headed!

I am according to the Household 6, cranky and tad bit opinionated.

Earl you're killing me. Congrats. That is a very nice buck. Is he the one you had on the trail cam? All I saw yesterday was a measly 3 pointer. We need some cooler weather.
